Lincoln Woods troopers arrest four on warrants, obstruction, and driving offenses

PROVIDENCE — State Police from the Lincoln Woods Barracks conducted several arrests following traffic stops and investigations, resulting in the apprehension of individuals on various charges, including failure to appear, obstructing an officer, and reckless driving.

Early in the day at 10:30 a.m., a vehicle stop on Fountain Street led to the arrest of Mauro Monteiro Teixeira, 21, of Pawtucket, on a bench warrant for failing to appear for an arraignment related to an obstruction charge from the Burrillville Police Department.

After processing at the barracks, Teixeira was taken to Sixth District Court for his arraignment.

Later in the afternoon, at 3:05 p.m., Geury O’Neal, 27, of Cranston, was arrested on a warrant that included charges of failing to stop for an accident, obstructing an officer, and driving with a suspended license.

This arrest was a result of a barracks investigation with assistance from Providence Police.

Following arraignment, O’Neal was held at the Adult Correctional Institution as a probation violator.

At 4:20 p.m., Janilet Vera, 26, of Woonsocket, faced charges stemming from an accident on Route 146 in Lincoln.

Vera was charged with six counts of failing to stop for an accident and reckless driving.

She was processed at the barracks and held as a probation violator.

In the early morning hours, at 2:10 a.m., Armando Rodriguez-Libran, 47, of Norwich, Connecticut, was arrested on a bench warrant for failing to appear for a pre-arraignment conference on counterfeit bill charges.

The arrest occurred after a vehicle stop on Route 95 in Warwick.

Rodriguez-Libran was processed at the barracks and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution.
