WEBSTER — A Worcester man faces multiple charges after allegedly striking several vehicles, mailboxes and a pedestrian in a series of hit-and-run incidents Monday afternoon.

Jose Felipe Galdamez Morales, 39, was arrested on charges including operating under the influence of liquor and leaving the scene of property damage and bodily injury, Webster police said.

At 2:39 p.m., dispatchers received a 911 call reporting a silver Toyota had struck a vehicle in a business parking lot.

The caller said he saw the male driver drink alcohol before fleeing.

Minutes later, a second 911 call reported a vehicle had hit a person, several mailboxes and another car before driving away.

Officer DiBuono located a disabled vehicle on Lake Street near Everett Avenue.

Police said Morales, the driver, appeared intoxicated and was arrested after a brief investigation.

Several open alcohol containers were found in Morales’ car, police said.

During booking, he allegedly fell asleep and out of his seat while attempting to provide a breath sample.

Morales was held on $540 bail and arraigned Tuesday in Dudley District Court.

He also faces a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
