WASHINGTON — Vermont State Police are searching for a St. Albans man who fled from authorities Sunday morning, crashing into a parked vehicle before escaping at high speed.

Andrew Brace, 39, was identified as the driver of a dark blue Genesis G80 that emergency services responded to on Tilton Road at 9:45 a.m. June 30.

EMS personnel believed both occupants were experiencing an overdose.

As rescue workers approached, Brace drove away.

Troopers spotted the vehicle pulling into a driveway on Vermont Route 110 in Washington.

When officers attempted contact, Brace tried to flee, nearly striking a police cruiser as he reversed.

Brace then hit a vehicle belonging to the homeowner and backed across the lawn before speeding northbound on Route 110 toward Barre.

Law enforcement agencies were unable to locate Brace or the vehicle.

The suspect is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, approximately 220 pounds, last seen wearing a black T-shirt and baseball cap.

The Genesis G80 bears Vermont license plates that do not match the vehicle.
