Rhode Island state police make multiple arrests over weekend

LINCOLN — Rhode Island State Police arrested three individuals on various charges during separate incidents over the June 30-July 1 weekend, officials said Monday.

Jamaal Dublin, 41, of Providence, was arrested at 11:32 a.m. on June 30 during a traffic stop in Providence.

Dublin was wanted on an arrest warrant for domestic violence simple assault and disorderly conduct from the West Warwick Police Department.

Later that night, at 11:58 p.m., troopers arrested Jason Buitrago, 38, of Cranston, following a motor vehicle stop in Providence.

Buitrago was wanted on a warrant for obtaining property/money by false pretenses from the East Providence Police Department.

In the early hours of July 1, at 3:21 a.m., Eddy Ramos Vargas, 33, of Providence, was arrested during a traffic stop in Central Falls.

Ramos Vargas was wanted on a Providence Superior Court bench warrant for failure to appear for a pre-trial conference on a second-degree child abuse charge from the Pawtucket Police Department.

All three suspects were processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks before being transferred to the appropriate authorities.
