Juvenile arrested in Southborough car theft spree

SOUTHBOROUGH — A juvenile suspect from Framingham was arrested early Monday following a brief police pursuit after multiple vehicles were reported stolen in Southborough.

Southborough police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle on Cordaville Road around 2 a.m. July 1, 2024.

Officers discovered an additional vehicle had been taken from a residence on Moulton Road.

The pursuit ended in Framingham, where police apprehended the juvenile suspect.

The individual was transported to the Southborough Police Department and charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, possession of stolen property, failure to stop for police, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Authorities say multiple unidentified suspects remain at large.

The thieves not only stole vehicles but also took valuables from unlocked cars throughout the south side of Southborough.

Locked vehicles were not targeted.

The investigation is ongoing.

Southborough police praised the efforts of their overnight shift officers and thanked the Framingham Police Department for their assistance in the case.
