Tewksbury man faces meth trafficking charges after police sting

TEWKSBURY — Chief Ryan Columbus announced the arrest of a Tewksbury man on multiple drug-related charges following a police narcotics operation.

Cameron Joyce, age 30, of Tewksbury, was apprehended and is facing charges including trafficking in methamphetamine (36 grams or more), operating with a suspended registration, operating an uninsured and unregistered motor vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

On Thursday, June 27, Tewksbury Police Narcotics Unit officers witnessed what they believed to be a drug transaction outside a residence on Grove Street.

They intervened and detained Joyce.

According to the police, they discovered 135 tablets totaling about 42 grams that were initially thought to be Adderall, in addition to $1,191 in cash.

Tests later confirmed the tablets were methamphetamine.

Joyce was taken into custody at the scene and was arraigned the following day, Friday, in Lowell District Court.
