Rhode Island state police make multiple arrests for DUI, vandalism

LINCOLN — Rhode Island State Police arrested three individuals over a 24-hour period for various offenses including driving under the influence and vandalism.

On June 28 at 11 a.m., troopers arrested Arissa Peterson, 21, of Pawtucket, for throwing articles at moving vehicles and vandalism.

Peterson turned herself in at the Lincoln Woods Barracks following an investigation.

She was processed and transported to Sixth Division District Court for arraignment.

In the early hours of June 29, two separate DUI arrests were made.

At 12:19 a.m., Israel Castro Moreno, 36, of Providence, was arrested during a motor vehicle stop in Cranston.

He was charged with driving under the influence and refusing a chemical test.

Moreno was processed, arraigned by a justice of the peace, and released to a responsible adult.

At 2:22 a.m., Thomas Stevens, 31, of Providence, was arrested following a crash investigation on Route 95 in Providence.

Stevens faces charges of driving under the influence and refusing a chemical test.

He was taken to Rhode Island Hospital and released with a future court date.
