DANVILLE — A Hardwick man faces charges of driving under the influence and drug possession following a traffic stop on U.S. Route 2 in Danville.
Vermont State Police arrested Joshua LeBlanc, 38, at 11:50 p.m. Thursday after pulling him over for a motor vehicle violation.
Troopers determined LeBlanc was driving under the influence of drugs, according to a police statement.
A search of LeBlanc during the arrest revealed he was in possession of narcotics, police said.
LeBlanc was taken to the Vermont State Police barracks in St. Johnsbury for processing.
He was later released with a citation to appear at the Caledonia County Superior Court on Aug. 15 at 8:30 a.m.
The incident occurred as troopers were conducting routine patrols in the area.
Authorities did not specify the type or quantity of narcotics found.
