GUILFORD — A New Hampshire man faces multiple charges in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a juvenile household member in Guilford in July 2021.
Paul W. Colburn Jr., 39, of Walpole, N.H., was arrested and charged with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, and lewd and lascivious conduct with a child, the Vermont State Police said.
Investigators allege Colburn had nonconsensual sexual contact numerous times with a juvenile member of his household at a residence in Guilford.
On June 28, 2024, Colburn turned himself in at the Vermont State Police barracks in Westminster, where he was processed on the charges.
He was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, at 12:30 p.m. the same day for arraignment.
Colburn was transported directly to the court, where he awaits his initial appearance before a judge.
The investigation began in July 2021 when state police were notified of the alleged assaults.
