Domestic assault suspect arrested in Williamstown

WILLIAMSTOWN — Vermont State Police arrested a Barre man on domestic assault charges following a reported family disturbance in Williamstown.

Michael Dunn, 35, was taken into custody June 28 at his workplace in connection with an incident that occurred two days earlier.

On June 26 at 3:08 p.m., state police received a delayed report of a family disturbance at a residence on Northwind Drive in Williamstown.

Investigation revealed Dunn allegedly assaulted an intimate partner.

Troopers from the Berlin Barracks located Dunn at his place of employment at 9:23 a.m. on June 28.

He was arrested and transported to the Berlin Barracks for processing.

Dunn was later taken to the Orange County Superior Court in Chelsea for arraignment at 1:30 p.m. the same day.

The victim’s identity is being withheld in accordance with Vermont State Police policy regarding victims of sexual assault and domestic violence.
