Boston police seek public’s assistance identifying breaking & entering suspect

BOSTON — Boston Police Department detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man connected to a recent breaking and entering incident in Dorchester.

The incident occurred near 65 Norfolk St. at approximately 6:15 p.m. on Sunday, June 23, when an unidentified black male was allegedly involved in the crime.

The suspect was captured on surveillance footage and is described as wearing a black hat with a white design on the front, a gray shirt, black pants, white sneakers, and carrying a black backpack.

The BPD is actively investigating the circumstances of the break-in and is reviewing all available evidence.

Detectives from District B-2 (Roxbury) are leading the effort and urge anyone with information to come forward.

The department emphasizes that the identity of those who provide tips will be protected.
