Guitar stolen from unlocked vehicle in Strafford area

STRAFFORD — A Fender Stratocaster guitar valued at over $1,000 was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the Strafford area, Vermont State Police reported Wednesday.

Robert S. O’Connell, 60, of Strafford, told police his blue Stratocaster was taken sometime between June 20 and 21.

O’Connell was uncertain of the exact location of the theft but believes it occurred either while his vehicle was parked at a residence on Justin Morrill Highway in Strafford or at a pull-off on Route 14 in Hartford.

The theft was reported to authorities at 8:09 a.m. on June 26.

Vermont State Police are seeking public assistance in the investigation.

No suspects have been identified at this time.
