Exeter man arrested for DUI after crash

EXETER — A 28-year-old Exeter man was arrested for driving under the influence following a motor vehicle accident Wednesday night.

Christopher J. Mureddu, of 17 South Road, was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs with a blood alcohol content of .15 or greater, first offense.

Rhode Island State Police responded to the crash on Nooseneck Hill Road in Exeter at 8:04 p.m. Troopers arrested Mureddu and transported him to the Hope Valley Barracks for processing.

Breath tests showed Mureddu’s blood alcohol content at 0.310 and 0.313, nearly four times the legal limit of 0.08.

After processing, Mureddu was taken to South County Hospital.

He was issued a notice to appear in Fourth District Court.
