Portland police investigate late-night shooting on Grant Street

PORTLAND — Portland Police responded to a report of shots fired on June 25 just before midnight at 77 Grant Street.

Officers discovered evidence of multiple gunshots in the vicinity, including bullet holes in a glass front door and a parked vehicle.

Despite the gunfire, no injuries were reported.

In the aftermath of the incident, authorities are reaching out to the community for assistance.

Local residents are being asked to check their vehicles and homes for any signs of damage from the shooting and to review footage from any security cameras that might provide insights into the case.

Chief Mark Dubois emphasized the gravity of the situation, noting the presence of six children in the home during the shooting. “We are fortunate no one was injured, much less killed in this senseless attack,” Dubois stated.
