PROVIDENCE — Rhode Island State Troopers conducted a series of arrests on charges ranging from driving under the influence to domestic violence assault and obtaining money under false pretenses.
At 1:26 p.m., troopers arrested Jorge Martinez, 41, of Providence, following a traffic stop on June Street.
Martinez was apprehended on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Domestic Violence – Simple Assault from the Providence Police Department.
After the stop, he was taken to the Lincoln Woods Barracks for processing and subsequently handed over to Providence Police.
Later in the afternoon, at 3:30 p.m., Melissa Guerrero Pena, 28, of Providence, was arrested on a warrant for Obtaining Money Under False Pretense under $1,500.
The warrant was issued from the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks.
Guerrero Pena’s arrest stemmed from a barracks investigation with assistance from the Providence Police Department.
After processing at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, she was arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released.
Early morning at 2:00 a.m., Sergio Tzunux Gutierrez, 26, of Providence, was arrested on multiple charges, including second-offense Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor with an unknown blood alcohol content, Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test, and Operating with a Suspended License for Certain Violations.
The arrest followed a vehicle stop on Potters Avenue.
Tzunux Gutierrez was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned, and released into the custody of a responsible adult.
