WILLIAMSTOWN — A Williamstown man was cited for possession of stolen property Monday after police executed a search warrant at his residence, recovering items taken in a recent theft.

Roger Mucherino, 30, was taken into custody after Vermont State Police found stolen items at his home, authorities said.

The property was linked to a motorcycle theft reported on June 17 in Orange.

Troopers from the Berlin Barracks initially recovered the stolen motorcycle on June 17 at Mucherino’s residence and returned it to its owner, Nicolae Beldiman, 33, of Barre.

However, other items taken during the theft were not found at that time.

On Monday at 8 a.m., police conducted a search of Mucherino’s home on Vermont Route 14, where they discovered the remaining stolen property.

Mucherino was released with a citation to appear in court at a later date.

The specific court date was not immediately available.

State police did not provide details on the nature or value of the recovered items.
