JAY — Vermont State Police arrested two individuals on Saturday, June 22, for unlawful trespass at a residence on W Jay Road in Jay.

At approximately 12:50 p.m., troopers responded to a call from Ronald Sanville, who reported trespassers on his property.

Upon arrival, state police met with Sanville and the alleged trespassers, identified as Karah Jasch, 39, of Jay, and Larry Bernard, 34.

After investigating the situation, troopers determined that Jasch and Bernard had no legal right to be at the residence.

The suspects were given multiple opportunities to leave the property voluntarily but refused to comply with the officers’ requests.

As a result of their non-compliance, both Jasch and Bernard were placed under arrest for unlawful trespass.

They were transported to the Vermont State Police Barracks in Derby for processing and subsequently released with citations to appear in court at a later date.
