Maine woman’s remains found in well, death unsolved after 14 years

LEBANON — The unsolved death of Frances Moulton, whose remains were discovered in a well in Lebanon on June 23, 2009, continues to perplex investigators nearly 14 years later.

Moulton, 25, was last seen by her family in July 2006 getting onto the back of a motorcycle.

She was known to leave home for extended periods and lived a transient lifestyle in the Sanford area, according to the Maine State Police.

Her family reported her missing in September 2006, two months after her last sighting.

Authorities are seeking information from the public to help solve the case.

The Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit-South is investigating Moulton’s death.
