BREWER — A 20-year-old man was arrested Thursday for allegedly stealing a child’s bicycle from the Brewer Community Pool, police said.

Thomas Sylvester was charged with theft and violating bail conditions after officers responded to a report of a bicycle theft at 4:22 p.m. on June 21.

According to police, a 12-year-old victim reported that a man with pink hair had stolen their bicycle.

The child attempted to chase the suspect but was unable to catch up.
