Norwich man charged with DUI after single-vehicle crash

NORWICH — Vermont State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Goodrich Four Corners Road on June 21, arresting a local man for driving under the influence.

Authorities arrived on the scene at 8:04 p.m. and identified the driver as 72-year-old Paul Foster of Norwich.

During their interaction with Foster, troopers detected signs of impairment and took him into custody on suspicion of DUI.

Foster was transported to Hartford Police Department for processing.

Following the completion of the procedures, he was released with a citation.

Foster is scheduled to appear in Windsor County Superior Court, Criminal Division on Aug. 6 to face the charges.
