WORCESTER — Officers from the Worcester Police Department arrested a local woman on multiple charges, including assault with a dangerous weapon and illegal gun possession, following a brawl at Bennet Field Pool on Main Street.

The incident occurred on June 20 at around 2:21 p.m., when police responded to a report of a large fight involving approximately twenty youths.

This altercation was reminiscent of an earlier dispute on the same day, which required police intervention to separate the involved parties.

During the attempt to diffuse the situation, officers were informed that one of the participants, 20-year-old Briana Henriquez of Whipple Street, was allegedly brandishing a firearm and had made threats against individuals present.

Upon locating Henriquez on Capalta Street, law enforcement discovered and confiscated a handgun with a defaced serial number from her possession.

Henriquez, who is unlicensed to carry firearms, was taken into custody.

She faces several serious charges including assault with a dangerous weapon, use of a firearm while committing a felony, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number, improper storage of a high-capacity firearm, and possession of ammunition without an FID card.
