Cornwall man cited for disorderly conduct, damages car with hose

CORNWALL — A Cornwall man was cited for disorderly conduct and unlawful mischief after allegedly swinging a hose at passing vehicles and striking a car on VT Route 30.

At approximately 9:05 a.m. on June 19, troopers were called to the scene near Swamp Road where Vincent Gardon, 46, was reportedly obstructing traffic and causing damage to a vehicle owned by Rebecca Plouffe, 53, of Bridport.

Authorities said that Gardon blocked vehicles and hit Plouffe’s car with a hose.

No injuries were reported, but the incident resulted in property damage.

After an investigation, Gardon was issued a citation on June 21 to appear in Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division on a later date.

The Addison County Sheriff’s Department and Middlebury Regional EMS provided assistance at the scene.
