BOSTON — Officers from the Boston Police Department apprehended Christine Ann Oliveira, 46, of Cambridge, on vandalism charges after she was allegedly caught throwing bricks at police cruisers near the downtown district station on Friday, June 14.
Police responded to a report of a female throwing objects at parked police cruisers around 1:13 p.m. Upon exiting the station, officers encountered Oliveira holding a brick.
Despite orders to drop the brick, Oliveira initially refused but eventually complied after multiple commands.
Oliveira then became combative, kicking two officers during the arrest.
The subsequent investigation revealed that two unmarked Boston Police vehicles had sustained damage, including smashed windows.
Oliveira faces charges including Malicious Destruction of Property over $1,200, Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon, Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, and Assault and Battery on a Police Officer.
Following her arrest, Oliveira was arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.
The incident underscores ongoing concerns about safety and respect for law enforcement personnel.
