Two men injured by explosive device in Fayston

FAYSTON — Two men sustained injuries Tuesday night after an explosive device went off on Phen Basin Road.

The Vermont State Police reported the incident occurred around 9 p.m. One victim was airlifted to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire, while the other was transported by ambulance to the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington.

Authorities have not released the identities of the injured men as the investigation continues.

State police units, including the Bomb Squad, are actively investigating the circumstances of the explosion.
