EAST BRIDGEWATER — Authorities arrested two men for allegedly distributing fentanyl and methamphetamine and seized multiple firearms, following a months-long investigation by the Commonwealth Interstate Narcotics Reduction Enforcement Team (CINRET).
CINRET, focusing on narcotics trafficking in Suffolk, Norfolk, and Plymouth Counties, gathered intelligence indicating Jermiah Boswell, 24, of Dorchester, was operating a delivery service for drugs.
After extensive surveillance and analysis, CINRET obtained warrants to search Boswell’s residence and vehicle.
On June 11, law enforcement officials trailed Boswell from his home and conducted a traffic stop.
He was detained and brought back to his residence, where a “knock and announce” search warrant was executed.
The search resulted in the confiscation of five loaded firearms, including a rifle, four high-capacity magazines, various calibers of ammunition, counterfeit oxycodone pills containing fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cash.
Two firearms had obliterated serial numbers.
Boswell and Dawnelle Stafford, 30, also from Dorchester, were arrested at the scene.
Both suspects were booked at SP-Milton Barracks and later arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
They face multiple charges, including the unlawful possession of a firearm, high-capacity feeding devices, and ammunition.
Boswell received additional charges for possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and methamphetamine.
The collaborative operation involved CINRET-South, Suffolk County State Police Detective Unit, MSP Gang Unit, MSP STOP, the Office of the Attorney General, Boston Police Department, Brockton Police Department, Hingham Police Department, East Bridgewater Police Department, and Homeland Security Investigations.
