JOHNSTON — At 11:50 a.m., Rhode Island State Troopers arrested Keith Greene, 54, of Johnston, on several Superior Court bench warrants for failing to appear in court.
The warrants included charges for possession of a controlled substance from North Kingstown and Pawtucket Police Departments, possession of a stolen vehicle from Lincoln Woods Barracks and Providence Police Department, and maintaining a common nuisance from Central Falls Police Department.
Greene’s arrest followed a response to a pedestrian on Route 95 in Pawtucket.
He was processed at Lincoln Woods Barracks and taken to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center.
Later that day at 4:39 p.m., Troopers apprehended James Perreault, 51, of Warwick, for leaving the scene of an accident resulting in damage to an attended vehicle.
The incident led to an investigation which concluded with Perreault being located at his residence.
After processing at Lincoln Woods Barracks and arraignment by a Justice of the Peace, Perreault was released.
At 6:30 p.m., Jason Santiago, 22, of Pawtucket, turned himself in at the Lincoln Woods Barracks on a vandalism charge.
Following processing and arraignment by the Justice of the Peace, Santiago was released.
Two simultaneous arrests occurred at 10:30 p.m. Edwin Vasques, 40, of Providence, was detained on an affidavit and arrest warrant for larceny, receiving stolen goods, and conspiracy from the Woonsocket Police Department, and a bench warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on larceny charges from Providence Police Department.
The arrest was made during a disturbance on Elmwood Avenue in Providence.
Vasques was processed and handed over to the Woonsocket Police Department.
In addition, Roger Hopkins, 53, of Cranston, was arrested for forgery and counterfeiting of registration plates, and operating with a suspended license – his fourth or subsequent offense.
The arrest was the result of a vehicle stop on Providence Place in Providence.
Hopkins was processed at Lincoln Woods Barracks and held overnight pending arraignment as a Probation Violator.
