DANVILLE — A two-vehicle collision involving an impaired driver led to an arrest on Stanton Rd just south of Vance Rd on June 19.
David Beer, 43, of St. Johnsbury, was taken into custody for driving under the influence after Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks responded to the incident at 7:49 p.m. T
he crash involved Beer’s 1999 Jeep Wrangler and a 2014 Toyota Rav4 driven by Rennee Audette, 22, also from St. Johnsbury.
Both vehicles sustained moderate front-end damage, but no injuries were reported by any of the parties involved, including Christopher Harrod, 24, of Groton, a passenger in Audette’s vehicle.
According to the authorities, Beer was found to be at fault after an investigation revealed he was operating the vehicle while impaired by alcohol.
Following the processing at the St. Johnsbury Barracks, Beer was lodged at the North East Regional Correctional Complex due to an outstanding warrant for his third DUI charge, along with other offenses including Criminal DLS, six counts of Violation of Conditions, and being classified as a Habitual Offender.
The Danville Fire Department and CALEX assisted Troopers at the scene.
