WORCESTER — At approximately 4:20 p.m. on Tuesday, police were alerted to a deceased woman in a vehicle on a remote road in Worcester.
Vermont State Police responded to the scene at the end of Hampshire Hill Road after a hiker reported the discovery.
Officials later identified the woman as 71-year-old Pamela Shover of Worcester.
Shover’s body was transported to the Vermont Chief Medical Examiner’s Office in Burlington for an autopsy to ascertain the cause and manner of death and to confirm her identity.
While the death is not being treated as suspicious, authorities are continuing their investigation.

Shover’s dog, Buddy, was found alive in the vehicle with her.
The police have not released any further details at this time.
