WORCESTER — A Worcester Police officer arrested a juvenile on Saturday in connection with a stolen car reported around Grafton and Waverly Streets at about 2:02 p.m.

As the car approached Cutler Street, the officer noted both occupants were wearing face masks.

After attempting to initiate a traffic stop using the patrol car’s lights and siren, the driver initially evaded pursuit.

Shortly thereafter, the suspects abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot in the Addison Street area.

The officer gave chase and successfully apprehended one of the fleeing individuals, a juvenile.

The second suspect remains at large.

The vehicle’s owner was notified and came to retrieve the car.

The arrested juvenile faces charges for receiving a stolen motor vehicle, trespass, and disorderly conduct.

The Worcester Police Department is continuing the investigation to locate the second suspect.
