KEENE — A 36-year-old man was arrested Friday in connection with a child exploitation investigation involving the use of social media to solicit minors, according to New Hampshire State Police.

Harrison S. Chambers of Keene was taken into custody by detectives from the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, with the assistance of Keene Police Department.

The arrest followed a month-long probe that began May 15, after a report to state police alleging inappropriate online sexual contact with a minor under 16 via Snapchat.

Chambers, a registered criminal offender due to a 2016 conviction for Felonious Sexual Assault against a victim under 16 and possession of Child Sexual Abuse Materials, is now facing several felony charges.

These include one count of Certain Uses of Computer Services Prohibited, one count of Indecent Exposure involving the transmission of a lewd image to a child under 16, one count of Endangering the Welfare of Child for solicitation of child sexual abuse material, two counts of Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material, and two counts of Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Requirements.

The investigation into Chambers’ interactions with children is still ongoing, with additional charges possible pending forensic analysis of digital evidence.

Chambers is expected to appear before the 8th Circuit – District Division – Keene Court for an arraignment on Monday, June 17.

He is currently held on preventative detention.

Authorities urge anyone with concerns that their child may have been victimized or who may have information relevant to the investigation to contact Detective Edward Horton at (603) 931-0660.
