FOXBOROUGH — The Foxborough Police Department is requesting the community’s assistance in locating Dorothy Cataldo, an 87-year-old resident with dementia, who was last seen walking away from her home at 282 South St. around 10:30 p.m. last night.
Despite extensive efforts by law enforcement, including the use of drones, the MSP Airwing, K9 units, and an active social media campaign, Cataldo remains missing.
The search has now surpassed the 12-hour mark, and authorities are urging Foxborough residents to meticulously check their properties, including yards, garages, vehicles, and any outdoor structures for any signs of Cataldo.
A command post and operations center have been established to coordinate the search efforts, which currently involve door-to-door and yard-to-yard examinations within a systematically organized grid.
Various agencies, including Foxborough Police, Metro-LEC Officers with K9 and mountain bike units, officers on foot from neighboring cities and towns, Foxborough Firefighters, MA Environmental Police, MA DFS Forest Wardens, and the Massachusetts State Police, are actively involved in the search.
Chief Michael A. Grace of the Foxborough Police Department emphasizes that time is of the essence in this search and rescue operation.
The community is urged to report any potential sightings or information regarding Cataldo’s whereabouts to 9-1-1 immediately.
A photograph of Cataldo, featuring the sweater she was last seen wearing, has been circulated to aid in her identification.
