Exeter man faces DUI charges after South Road accident

EXETER — A 54-year-old Exeter man was arrested Sunday night on charges of driving under the influence and refusing a chemical test following a motor vehicle accident, according to Rhode Island State Police.

Troopers detained David Morrison of 165 Purgatory Road at 9:42 p.m. after investigating the crash on South Road.

Morrison, who is facing his second DUI offense, was also charged with refusal to submit to a chemical test, marking his first offense of this nature.

Following the incident, Morrison was transported to Hope Valley Barracks, where he was processed and held.

He is scheduled for arraignment Monday morning at the fourth division district court.
