East Hampton police respond to multiple accidents and medical calls

EAST HAMPTON — The East Hampton Police Department released a series of reports from the week of June 10-16, highlighting a number of traffic infractions, accidents, and several arrests for various offenses.

On June 6, Kristen Hadden, 43, of Glastonbury, was issued a ticket for failure to exercise due care to avoid colliding with a pedestrian after an incident in the East Hampton Middle School parking lot.

In a separate incident on June 10, Katelyn Richardson, 35, of East Hampton, was issued a ticket for simple trespass.

The following day, Brendan McCooe, 43, of Cobalt, was issued a summons for evading responsibility after leaving the scene of a two-car accident at 85 N.

Main St. McCooe is due in Middletown Superior Court on June 19 at 9 a.m.

Throughout the week, several individuals were ticketed for traveling unreasonably fast, including Alex Gaudette, 20, of Marlborough on June 12; Allison Ireland, 23, and Matthew Torrance, 20, both of East Hampton, as well as Frederick Everett III, 41, of East Hampton, who faced additional charges of disorderly conduct and second-degree reckless endangerment.

Everett posted a $10,000 bond and is scheduled for a court appearance on June 14 at 10 a.m.

In a more serious case, James Jones, 27, with an unknown address, was arrested on several warrants including failure to appear, criminal mischief, resisting arrest, and violation of a protective order.

Jones managed to post a total bond of $160,000 and will also appear in court on June 14.

Other infractions during the week included Amanda Schunk, 39, of East Hampton, receiving a ticket for creating a public disturbance on June 14 and William Taylor, 30, of Hartford, ticketed for unsafe passing on June 16.

In addition to traffic-related incidents, East Hampton officers responded to 13 medical calls, 7 motor vehicle accidents, and 14 alarms, making a total of 68 traffic stops during the week.
