Vandalism spree damages fences, water well pump in Sheldon

SHELDON — Vermont State Police are investigating a vandalism incident that occurred early Saturday morning on Route 78 near Regan Road.

Authorities received reports at 6:32 a.m. of damage caused by a vehicle that veered off the roadway around 1 a.m.

The vehicle in question is responsible for extensive damage to several fences and a water well pump before it fled the scene.

Vermont State Police are seeking assistance from the public to identify the perpetrator.
