Springfield woman arrested on active warrant, lodged at correctional facility

SPRINGFIELD — A local woman was arrested after police confirmed she had an active arrest warrant, the Springfield Police Department reported.

At approximately 6:55 p.m. on June 10, Cpl. Perkins spotted Suzanne Rostan walking at the intersection of Valley Street and Common Street.

Recognizing Rostan as someone with an alleged active in-state arrest warrant, Perkins initiated an inquiry to confirm the warrant.

Once the warrant was verified, Rostan was taken into custody without incident at 7:26 p.m. She received a criminal citation to appear in the Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit, the following day, June 11, at 12:30 p.m. to respond to the arrest warrant.

Rostan was then lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility in lieu of bail.
