Several arrested in Rhode Island for domestic assault, DUI, and outstanding warrants

LINCOLN — State Police at the Lincoln Woods Barracks conducted multiple arrests for various offenses, including domestic violence and driving infractions, following traffic stops and responses to incidents in Providence.

At noon, troopers apprehended Milan Pagan, 25, of East Providence, on charges of domestic assault by strangulation, domestic simple assault, and disorderly conduct after responding to a domestic disturbance on Route 95 in Providence.

Pagan was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned, and then transported to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center to face a bail violation in Sixth Division Court.

Later that evening, at 11:04 p.m., Ricardo Restrepo, 37, of Providence, was arrested for driving under the influence, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test after a vehicle stop on Route 146 in Lincoln.

He was processed and released with a summons to appear in Third Division District Court.

Early the next morning, at 1:25 a.m., Dwayne L. Morgan, 61, also of Providence, was detained on a Family Court reciprocal body attachment warrant during a stop on Ashburton Street.

Morgan was taken to the Lincoln Woods Barracks and subsequently turned over to the correctional institution.

Simultaneously, Byron Robinson, 55, of Providence, was arrested on a Providence Superior Court bench warrant for failing to appear for a pre-arraignment conference on a drug possession charge.

Like Morgan, Robinson was processed at the barracks and transferred to the correctional facility.

Finally, at 3:02 a.m., Rafael E. Calderon Gomez, 43, of Providence, was taken into custody for a bench warrant related to a driving after suspension charge and a Family Court warrant.

His arrest followed a vehicle stop on Route 95, after which he was processed at the barracks and handed over to the correctional institution.
