KEENE — A local man was arrested today on multiple felony charges including child pornography and indecent exposure after allegedly forming an illicit online relationship with a minor.
Harrison S. Chambers, 36, was taken into custody by members of the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force and detectives from the New Hampshire State Police.
The arrest followed an investigation that started in May when State Police received a report of an unidentified male using Snapchat to engage illegally with a person under the age of 16.
The investigation led to the identification of Chambers, who was arrested with support from the Keene Police Department.
He faces charges of felony indecent exposure for sending lewd images to a child, prohibited use of computer services, endangering the welfare of a child, possession of child sexual abuse material, and failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements.
Chambers is scheduled for arraignment at Keene District Court on June 17 and is being held on preventative detention.
As the investigation continues, further charges may be brought against Chambers pending forensic analysis of the digital evidence collected.
Authorities are concerned that he may have used social media to establish contact with other minors.
The ICAC Task Force urges anyone with information to assist the ongoing investigation to contact Detective Edward Horton at (603) 931-0660.
The task force remains committed to addressing internet crimes against children through thorough investigation and prosecution.
