Highgate man reported missing, police seek public’s assistance

HIGHGATE — Vermont State Police are searching for Chad Lapointe, a 50-year-old Highgate resident who was reported missing on June 14, after last being seen on June 12 at his home on Rocky Maple Lane.

Authorities received the report at approximately 2:52 p.m. on Thursday.

Lapointe was last observed at around 4:45 a.m. at his residence, and it’s believed he may be traveling on foot.

His direction of travel is currently unknown.

Lapointe is described as being 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds, with short brown hair and blue eyes.

The Vermont State Police are focused on locating Lapointe to ensure his welfare.

The police are urging anyone with information regarding Lapointe’s whereabouts to contact the St. Albans Barracks at 802-525-5993 to aid in the investigation.
