EVERETT — Three individuals were arrested and charged with drug trafficking and related offenses by Everett Police on Friday, after a routine vehicle stop led to a significant narcotics seizure.

Hassan Bahia, 32, of Medford; Thomas Forestier, 36, and Michael Vilarino, 36, both of Revere, were taken into custody without incident after officers discovered what appeared to be a large quantity of illegal drugs in their unregistered vehicle.

Officers John Comerford and John DiVenuti initially pulled over the vehicle for being unregistered.

After confirming the status, the occupants were informed that the vehicle would be towed.

As DiVenuti performed an inventory search in anticipation of the tow, he spotted what he suspected to be cocaine.

Upon further investigation, officers seized 97.5 grams of cocaine, 10.7 grams of fentanyl, 18.9 grams of crack cocaine, various assorted pills, over $8,000 in U.S. currency, and assorted drug paraphernalia.

Bahia, Forestier, and Vilarino were all charged with drug trafficking among other related charges.

They are scheduled for arraignment in Malden District Court on Monday.
