Dartmouth police arrest man on multiple narcotics charges after car crash

DARTMOUTH — Dartmouth Police arrested a Middleboro man on multiple narcotics charges early Saturday after his vehicle struck a tree on Faunce Corner Road.

At about 12:05 a.m., police responded to a report of an accident at 856 Faunce Corner Rd.

Upon arrival, officers found a vehicle that had collided with a tree.

During their investigation, police discovered a baggie containing suspected Psilocybin mushrooms and a large amount of cash inside the car.

A further search revealed pills suspected to be Oxycodone and Xanax, a Psilocybin chocolate bar, Marijuana vape cartridges, $1,262 in cash, a Glock style BB gun, a black ski mask, and other items believed to be associated with the illegal sale of narcotics.

Shawn Walsh, 20, a passenger in the vehicle, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute Class B, Class E, and Class C substances.

Patrolman Max Szteliga was the arresting officer.

Walsh is being held pending arraignment.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
