NEWBURY — Vermont State Police arrested 58-year-old Joakim Liatsos of Stowe on charges including his fourth DUI, driving with a criminally suspended license, and resisting arrest after responding to a report of a vehicle stuck in a yard off US Route 5 on June 13.

Troopers arrived at the scene at 7:11 p.m. and identified Liatsos as the operator of the vehicle.

They observed signs of extreme impairment and discovered that Liatsos was operating without the required ignition interlock device.

During the arrest, Liatsos resisted the troopers.

Following the incident, he was transported to the St. Johnsbury State Police Barracks for processing.

Liatsos was later released on citation and is scheduled to answer to the charges in court.
