1 min read

MILFORD — Officers responded to a shooting at a Gulf Street residence last night, finding a male victim with a non-fatal gunshot wound, leading to a significant drug discovery and an ongoing search for two suspects, the Milford Police Department reported.

The incident occurred at 10:39 p.m. at 26C Gulf Street, where police found the man had sustained a grazing head wound from a bullet fired through a second-story window.

He was taken to Bridgeport Hospital for treatment and has since been released.

Detectives, securing the scene, obtained a search warrant and uncovered evidence of substantial drug activity.

Over 75 pounds of marijuana, scales, a currency counting machine, and a loaded Glock pistol with an altered serial number were seized from the property.

The Crime Scene Unit continues to investigate at the site.

The victim is reportedly uncooperative, but authorities have determined that two perpetrators fled in vehicles after the incident, one being a black Mercedes Benz crossover, potentially a GLE model, linked to an associate of the victim.

Police assure the public that the shooting appears to be an isolated event with no ongoing threat.

Tips and leads are sought as the investigation proceeds.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Zachary Milslagle at (203) 783-4730.

Further updates will be released as they become available.
