Randolph woman arrested on warrant after theft investigation at local grocery store

RANDOLPH — A Randolph woman was arrested on an active warrant Wednesday following a theft investigation at Shaw’s Grocery Store.

Cheyenne L. Batchelder, 31, was taken into custody by Troopers from the VSP Royalton Barracks after they responded to the theft report around 3:27 p.m.

During the course of their investigation at a different location, Troopers identified and apprehended Batchelder, who had outstanding warrants for her arrest.

After her arrest, Batchelder was transported to Orange County Court where she will face the charges related to the warrant.

The specifics of the warrants and the nature of the theft incident at Shaw’s Grocery Store remain under investigation by the authorities.
