According to authorities, the trooper was patrolling the area near mile marker 157 northbound at around 1:13 a.m. when the cones were spotted.

Further inspection revealed that several mile marker posts had also been removed and placed on the roadway, with additional cones set up on the southbound side.

This event mirrors a similar occurrence reported the weekend of June 1, prompting concerns of repeated disruptions on this stretch of highway.
