LUNENBURG — Vermont State Police apprehended a Massachusetts man Wednesday morning wanted for murder and several other charges related to a fatal stabbing earlier this week.
Kevin Digregorio, 33, of Randolph, Massachusetts, was arrested around 10:45 a.m. after being located in Lunenburg.
Massachusetts State Police had alerted Vermont authorities around 6:30 a.m. that Digregorio was believed to be in the Waterford area.
He had an active arrest warrant for murder, assault to kill, and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon stemming from a Monday incident in Brockton, Massachusetts, where one person was fatally stabbed and another injured.
Vermont State Police, aided by the Essex County Sheriff’s Department, found Digregorio’s vehicle in a pull-off along U.S. Route 2.
He was taken into custody without incident and is being held without bail as a fugitive from justice.
Digregorio is scheduled for arraignment at 1 p.m. on June 13 in the Criminal Division of Vermont Superior Court in Guildhall.
The affidavit of probable cause will be available following the arraignment.
