1 min read

NEW HAVEN — Around 12 p.m. on June 5, a truck allegedly side-swiped a delivery van on Orange Street in downtown New Haven.

Witnesses immediately alerted the owner of the van, who observed the truck turning onto Chapel Street toward Church Street.

The van owner chased the truck and caught up to the driver at a red light.

The driver initially agreed to exchange information and return to the scene.

However, when the light turned green, the driver fled and did not return.

The van owner captured images of the truck before it left the scene, but was unable to get a clear picture of the license plate, which appeared to be blocked by a piece of equipment.

Police are currently unable to identify the truck.
