Fugitive wanted for murder captured in Essex County

LUNENBURG — Vermont State Police arrested a Massachusetts man Wednesday morning who was wanted on multiple charges, including murder, following a fatal stabbing earlier this week.

Kevin Digregorio, 33, of Randolph, Massachusetts, was apprehended at approximately 10:45 a.m. on June 12 after Massachusetts State Police alerted Vermont authorities that he might be in the Waterford area.

Digregorio was under investigation for a violent incident that occurred on Monday in Brockton, Massachusetts, where two individuals were stabbed, resulting in one fatality.

The Essex County Sheriff’s Department located Digregorio’s vehicle in a pull-off along U.S. Route 2 in Lunenburg.

Vermont State Police, with assistance from the sheriff’s department, took Digregorio into custody without incident.

He is being held without bail as a fugitive from justice and is scheduled for arraignment at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, in the Criminal Division of Vermont Superior Court in Guildhall.
