HARTLAND — Troopers with the Vermont State Police responded to a two-vehicle collision on Interstate 91 South near mile marker 65.8 on May 27 at approximately 12:54 p.m.
According to the investigation and witness statements, Donna M.
Kirk, 75, of Hartford, was attempting an illegal U-turn from the southbound lane when her vehicle struck another in the passing lane.
Kirk was subsequently issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court Criminal Division on charges of Negligent Operation.
Additionally, she received a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint for violating Interstate Highway Regulations.
Further details regarding the condition of the occupants in the other vehicle involved were not immediately available.
The Vermont State Police continue to investigate the incident.
