PLAINVILLE — A pickup truck overturned in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday evening at the intersection of East Bacon Street and George Street, injuring one driver, according to the Plainville Police Department.

Officer Hodson, who was patrolling the area, heard the crash around 5:40 p.m. and arrived to find the truck on its roof and the second vehicle with front-end damage.

The driver of the pickup was still inside the vehicle when emergency services arrived.

The initial investigation indicated that the pickup was traveling north across George Street after being signaled by another motorist.

As it entered the intersection, it was hit by a small sedan driving west on East Bacon Street.

Paramedics transported the driver of the pickup truck to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The sedan’s driver did not sustain injuries in the incident.

Sgt Connolly and Officers Davidson and Waite responded to the scene to assist with the crash investigation and traffic control.

The circumstances leading to the crash are still under investigation by the Plainville Police Department.
