Three teens arrested for assault, robbery in Boston

BOSTON — Three juvenile females were taken into custody Monday evening on charges of assault and battery, the Boston Police Department reported.

The incident occurred around 5:53 p.m. near 116 Huntington Avenue, where officers from District D-4 (South End) responded to a report of an assault.

According to authorities, the victim was kicked, punched, and sprayed with OC spray by the trio before they fled with her cell phone.

She was later transported to a local hospital with injuries deemed non-life-threatening.

Police located the suspects at 171 Saint Botolph Street after conducting an area search.

During the arrest, one of the juveniles attempted to hide a purple can of OC spray under a vehicle.

A 13-year-old has been charged with armed robbery and assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon (shod foot), while a 14-year-old faces charges for receiving stolen goods and assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon (shod foot).

The eldest, a 16-year-old, also faces armed robbery charges and assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon (shod foot).

All three are scheduled to be arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court.
